Often, truck drivers have a number of responsibilities and may suffer from a great deal of stress or driver fatigue while on the road. In Huntington, and other parts of West Virginia, these risk factors can increase the chances of a crash. Sadly, collisions involving a large truck are especially likely to result in tragic outcomes, from lost lives to significant injuries that will haunt victims for the rest of their lives. For truck accident victims and members of their family, it is important to piece together the details of what happened and figure out the smartest way forward.

An accident that recently occurred in Florida claimed one man’s life and left three people from West Virginia who were riding in his vehicle injured. According to authorities, the man was driving a pickup truck when he collided with a box truck that was heading in the opposite direction. Next, another vehicle that was traveling behind the box truck struck the pickup truck head-on.

The driver of the pickup was declared dead at the crash site. In all, a total of eight people were hurt in the collision, which took place at roughly 9 a.m. Law enforcement officials closed the road while responding to the accident.

Deciding how to deal with a truck accident can be very difficult, especially for those who are facing emotional pain due to the loss of a family member or severe physical pain after the crash. However, some truck accident victims have been able to recover by speaking to an experienced legal professional.
