Bert Ketchum is a prominent personal injury trial lawyer who has tried numerous cases to juries in the state and federal courts of West Virginia, Ohio and Kentucky from mining accidents to medical malpractice.  He was sole counsel for client’s who won record breaking verdicts in 2010 and 2013.  For his work, Bert has received multiple recognitions and awards including membership into The National Trial Lawyers Top 100 Trial Lawyers.

Bert is a native of Wayne County, West Virginia and returned to Huntington in 1994 to practice law with his father, Menis E. Ketchum, II. He serves on several legal and community boards including the Governor’s Judicial Vacancy Advisor Commission, the West Virginia Association for Justice Board of Governors and the Faculty Merit Foundation of West Virginia. 

Paul Thomas Farrell Jr. is an accomplished trial lawyer who focuses much of his practice on helping people injured by medical malpractice. He is a former president of the West Virginia Association for Justice (WVAJ) and a member of a national lawyers’ group on birth trauma lawsuits.

Paul Jr. is the son of the Honorable Paul T. Farrell, a circuit court judge. He graduated from the West Virginia College of Law in 1997 and has been admitted to the bar in West Virginia, Kentucky and Ohio.

Larry A. Bailey is a highly experienced trial lawyer and long-time partner in our firm. He handles a full range of personal injury cases, including motor vehicle accidents, product liability and wrongful death.

Mr. Bailey graduated from the University Of Tennessee College Of Law and was admitted to the bar in West Virginia in 1976.

Lawrence J. Tweel is the managing partner of our firm. He has represented clients effectively in numerous practice areas, including asbestos exposure, workers’ compensation, Social Security Disability and motor vehicle accidents.

Mr. Tweel is a native of Huntington and received his law degree from the University of Kentucky in 1969. He is a past or present board member for several educational or public service organizations, including the Marshall University Foundation.

Clayton J. Maddox became an associate attorney with Greene, Ketchum, Farrell Bailey & Tweel in September of 2015. He has gained considerable trial experience in his short time with Greene Ketchum.

He received his Bachelor’s degree from Marshall University where he graduated with honors. Clayton was a member of Marshall University’s Men’s Varsity Baseball Team during his undergraduate studies. He is from Wayne County, West Virginia and graduated from Spring Valley High School.
